PEACE DERIVATIVE is a psychological melodrama set in a complex dreamscape of The Protagonist, which mirrors the present day world.
The film is interested in the themes of self-conflict, self-hatred and the consequences of what happens when constant self-reinvention blurs out a person's unique identity.

Inspired by the ethos behind Wong Kar Wai's cinematography, I incorporated similar techniques to lead the narrative behind PEACE DERIVATIVE, using unconventional cinematography, heavy saturation and low-shutter to convey difficult emotions that each scene aims to express.
This is a collaborative project between MINUSELEVEN AUDIOVISUAL and SHANGRILA FILM, directed and written by Kenley Chan.
