PEACE DERIVATIVE is a psychological melodrama set in a complex dreamscape of The Protagonist, which mirrors the present day world.
The film is interested in the themes of self-conflict, self-hatred and the consequences of constant self-reinvention, which blurs out a person's unique identity.

PEACE DERIVATIVE is a very personal project to me, and is heavily inspired by real events that I have personally gone through. Although it does not highlight my full journey, it does however highlight an era of it that I believe would make for a good narrative and a cautionary tale about the obsession of wanting to belong.
This is a collaborative project between MINUSELEVEN AUDIOVISUAL and SHANGRILA FILM, directed and written by Kenley Chan.
